Mangaluru: A woman has filed a complaint against two of her apartment residents alleging that her husband was murdered by them.

The deceased is identified as Vinayak Kamath. The accused are Krishnananda Kini and his son Avinash Kini.

Case details:

A few days ago, the city corporation workers had repaired the damaged portion of the spot adjacent to the entrance gate of the apartment with concrete.

On the issue of cars of other people passing through this repaired spot, Krishnananda Kini fought with the deceased and apparently nursed enmity against Vinayak.

On November 3, when Vinayak had gone to the ground floor, Krishnananda Kini and his son Avinash started to quarrel with him at the parking area.

Vinakaya’s wife Amani Kamath and his mother rushed down after hearing their shouts and saw Krishnananda Kini stabbing her husband with a knife in the chest. Avinash Kini too was repeatedly saying that he would not spare the deceased.

Hearing the commotion, some other residents of the apartment came there, and one of the residents, Nirav Shah, along with along with Vinayak’s mother took him to Yenepoya Hospital where he died after he stopped responding to the treatment on Thursday, November 4.

On the basis of her complaint, a case has been filed.
