Mangaluru: Woman dies after falling from scooter

A woman died after she fell from her scooter near Kerebailu in Thokkottu.

The deceased has been identified as Suma Narayana Gatty (52), a resident of Kasargod Madhur.

Suma, originally from Bantwal Netla, had attended a Pooja at her family house, Pilaru Aramane, on Sunday. In the evening, she was returning to Kasargod on her scooter with her brother. Upon reaching Thokkottu junction, they made a turn towards Jappinamogaru to visit one of their relatives. The accident occurred while they were returning from Jappinamogaru.

Suma fell from the scooter as they were on route to Kotekar Beeri. She sustained severe head injuries and was initially taken to the local hospital in Kotekar. Later, she was shifted to Deralakatte hospital, but sadly, she could not survive her injuries.

Suma is survived by her husband, son, and two daughters.
