In a shocking incident that unfolded on a KSRTC bus, a woman’s gold necklace was forcibly snatched from her neck. The victim, had recently visited the Kollur Mookambika temple on November 4 and was on her way back to her hometown, Kadaba, with her family when the incident occurred.
As the bus journey continued, three women boarded the bus, one of whom, identified as Bhagirathi, sat close to the victim. In a cunning move to divert Bhagirathi Sara’s attention, the thief pretended that money had fallen on the floor. In the chaos that followed, the thief swiftly snatched the victim’s gold necklace weighing approximately 1.28 lakh rupees, equivalent to around 4 pavan.
The victim promptly reported the theft to the Barke police, initiating an investigation into the incident.
