Savanur: Purushottam Bambila (23), a resident of Paltadi village near Savanur in Kadapa taluk of Dakshina Kannada, has built a small tipper from a modified Yamaha scooter.
Purushottam’s mini tipper can carry a load of up to 2 quintals and go in and around farms where it is difficult for a truck to enter.
He modified the 130cc scooter and fitted a gearbox with reverse gear and added a 3 feet wide body to carry loads.
Purushottam, son of Babu Shetty and Yamuna, had also built many inventions in the past.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala’s Dharmadhikari Dr Virendra Heggade had praised the inventions of Purushottam.
A graduate of KS Gowda ITI at Nintikallu, Purushottam is now working on a project at SDM Engineering College at Ujire.
