Mangaluru’s Wenlock hosp to get 168-bed surgical wing

Mangaluru: A well-equipped surgical wing at the Wenlock hospital here has been accelerated and is expected to be completed within a year.
The 13,252 square feet building, built under the Smart City project at an estimated cost of Rs 39.19 crore, will have 168 beds and 12 operation rooms spread over 6 floors.
The building will also house rooms for radiology, laundry, pharmacy, ultrasound, central sterile supply department, sterile store, pre-operative and post-operative systems including CT scan, X-ray and radiotherapy room.
Under the Smart City project, an advanced surgical block construction is been undertaken at Wenlock hospital. The work will be completed in a phased manner. This will be a great contribution to Mangaluru, said Prashant Kumar Mishra, Managing Director, Mangaluru Smart City Limited.
