Mani resident compiles Udayavani article on Covid, creates 43-pg pdf for awareness

Manipal: Udayavani, one of Karnataka’s leading newspapers has been the voice of the people from the region. The readers’ trust in Udayavani for the last 52 years is a testimony to the objective journalism presented through our medium.
While the first and the second wave of Covid 19 has had a devastating effect on people’s livelihoods. The lockdown and the media reports on death tolls, including images circulated on media platforms have had a debilitating effect on people in general. Realizing the importance of positive news, in these tiring times, Udayavani has published several such stories and this has earned us appreciation from our readers.
One such reader Gopal Pai, a native of Mani has collected all the COVID-19 related articles published in Udayavani anewspaper from May 1, 2021, till date and created a PDF of 43 pages.
Gopal is a financial analyst at a private company in Bengaluru and started this initiative to help spread information about COVID-19.
Speaking in this regard Gopal Pai said, “I started collecting all the COVID-19 articles published on Udayavani daily and created a 43 pages PDF. The main aim is to spread information about COVID-related issues including oximeters, black fungus etc…”
“I have also added the articles about the Dakshina Kannada MLAs contribution to fight the pandemic,” he added.
Pai further added, “Since the pandemic broke Udayavani has been publishing much positive news that helps people to stay strong in this time. therefore I complied all the articles so that anybody can easily get access to all the information related to COVID-19 by just going through this PDF file.”
“All the credit goes to Udayavani. I have been reading the newspaper since a very small age and it has helped me develop my knowledge,” he said.
