Manipal: Man killed after speeding car rams into his bike

Manipal: A man died of injuries sustained after a speeding car collided with his bike here on Sunday.
The deceased is identified as Umesh, a resident of Manchikere.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Maruti Swift car, bearing a Kerala-registration number, was driving recklessly and was under the influence of alcohol.
Umesh sustained serious injuries after the car collided head-on with his bike. Locals rushed him to C hospital but he died wihout responding to the treatment
The accused tried to flee the accident scene but was apprehended by the locals and handed over to the police.
