Manipal: Pedestrian killed after being hit by city bus

Udupi: An elderly man died after being hit by a city bus in Eshwar Nagar, Manipal on Wednesday, May 29 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Mahabala Shettigar (78), a resident of Eshwar Nagar.

Personnel from Manipal police station were at the accident spot. There were traffic snarls following the accident.

It is said that the bus was moving from Manipal to Parkala when a pedestrian came across the bus.
