Manipal Surgical Oncology Conference- MASOCON 2024 held at KMC Manipal

Manipal: The Manipal Surgical Oncology Conference, MASOCON 2024, hosted by the Department of Surgical Oncology at Kasturba Medical College Manipal, unfolded on the 10th and 11th of May 2024 at the esteemed Dr TMA Pai Auditorium, KMC Manipal.

Attended by over 120 delegates and distinguished faculty members representing various oncology disciplines nationwide, who were mainly from various oncology disciplines across India, the conference served as a pivotal platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

In the inaugural session, luminaries including Dr. Shailesh V Shrikande, Deputy Director and Head of Cancer Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Prasad S S, Head- Department of Surgery, Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, Dr. Naveena Kumar AN, Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology, and Dr. Nawaz Usman, Unit Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.

Distinguished experts including Dr. Shailesh V Shrikande, Dr. Shalaka PJoshi, Dr. Manisha Bhandare, Dr. Shivakumar Thiagarajan from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and Dr. Naveena Kumar AN from Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, served as resource persons, showcasing live surgeries during the conference. These demonstrations provided invaluable insights into cutting-edge surgical techniques and advancements in the field.

Guiding the proceedings with finesse, Dr. Preethi S Shetty served as the Master of Ceremony, ensuring the smooth execution of the program and fostering an engaging environment for all participants.
