Manipal: Youth killed in bike mishap

Manipal: A 26-year-old youth was killed on the spot in a bike accident near Parkala National Highway in the wee hours of Wednesday, October 18.

The deceased identified as Akshaya Bhatt, a resident of Hiriyadka was unmarried and was employed as a cook.

The mishap took place when he was on his way to a temple in Indrali to prepare the public food offering on the occasion of Navratri.

Manipal Police personnel visited the spot and conducted an investigation. His body was later shifted to a private hospital in Manipal.

A case has been registered in this regard.
