Kasaragod: In the backdrop of stone pelting on on Our Lady of Mercy church at Manjeshwar in the district and also atrocities carried out on the Christian community, a massive protest condemning the recent attack was held Sunday evening, August 25. The protest was organised under the leadership of Catholic Sabha of Kasaragod zone.
The protest march participated by thousands of people, started from the vicinity of Manjeshwar Block Panchayat, proceeded via the road in front of the Manjeshwar church and ended up at Hosangadi Junction. The leaders of the protest march warned the district administration that if the culprits are not arrested soon, fierce protest and also fast unto death will be held.
