Manjeshwar: Young woman dies after Chudidar shawl gets caught in machine

Manjeshwar: In a tragic incident, a young woman suffocated to death after a shawl she was wearing got entangled in a grinder machine on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Thuminad of Manjeshwar.

The deceased has been identified as Jayasheela (22), wife of Ranjan of Lakshamweed Colony in Thuminad.

Sources said, Jayasheela was employed at a bakery in Tuminad. On Saturday, the shawl she was wearing around her neck accidentally got tangled in the grinder machine, strangulating her. She was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, but could not be saved.

It is learnt that it was Jayasheela’s birthday on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the mortal remains have been kept at Manjeshwar Taluk Hospital for autopsy.
