Amid Covid-19, the importance of working on your immunity is now on an all-time high and Mansoora Kadha discovered in Malegaon has proved to be a very good immunity booster.
Malegaon is a town that achieved dramatic success in containing the spread of the virus. From April 2020 till July 25, 2020, as many as 10,712 locals were tested out of which 1,204 were found positive and 1042 patients recovered. The recovery rate in Malegaon is around 80 per cent.
It is said that the consumption of a ‘kaadha’ recommended by a local Unani college played a key role in containing the virus.
The kadha is prepared by Malegaon’s Mohammadiya Tibbiya College and is a variation of the traditional Unani formulation called ‘Joshanda’,
It is usually prepared using herbs and spices, including tulsi (basil), dalchini (cinnamon), kalimirch (black pepper), and shunthi (dry ginger) and munakka (raisin)
It is said that these herbs and spices contain immunity-boosting properties and other healing compounds.
Apart from that, the herbal drink can improve digestion and detox the body and can be especially beneficial during allergy season.
However, it is said that those suffering from gastrointestinal issues must be careful while drinking the Kadha as it may have adverse effects on their health.
