Maravanthe car accident: Body of missing youth found at Hospet

Kundapur: The body of a youth who was washed away by the sea waves in a car accident at Maravanthe on Saturday late night has been recovered at Hospet on Monday.

The victim was identified as Roshan. He was among the four persons travelling in a car, from Koteshwar to Byndoor on the National Highway 66, when it veered off-road and fell into the seawater.

A 28-year-old man identified as Viraj Acharya, a resident of Beejadi near Koteshwar was killed while his relative Roshan was reported missing. Two other car occupants — Sandesh and Karthik escaped with minor injuries in the mishap.

A rescue team was launched to trace Roshan. His body was found washed ashore at Hospet on Monday.

Gangolli police visited the spot.
