Maravoor bridge opens for vehicular movement

Mangaluru: Ater the completion of its restoration work, Maravoor bridge was opened for vehicular movement on Friday, July 30 afternoon.
The major link and shortest route to the international airport from the city here passes through Maravoor bridge. This bridge had developed cracks after one of its pillars jerked.
Since a month, the vehicle movement was halted completely which affected public who had side of the bridge. Passengers to the airport would take alternative routes to reach airport which consumed a lot of time.
The bridge has now been restored successfully and aso passed vehicle movement test which was conducted on Thursday, July 29.
