Maski by-polls: EVM malfunction reported in five areas

Maski: As the voting for by-polls begins on Saturday, complaints about malfunctioning EVMs poured in from five areas of Maski constituency on Saturday

However, District Election Officer, R Venkateshkumar said that all the EVMs have now been changed to ensure smooth voting in the constituency

He further said that prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC have been clamped across Maski constituency from Thursday evening, banning unlawful assembly and holding of public gatherings. Also,  two CRPF platoon and  four KSRP platoon have been deployed

There are a total of 7 Covid-19 positive voters in the constituency and voting for those will be held from 6 pm to 7 pm.
