Mass Wedding ceremony held at Kukke Subrahmanya, Kollur temples

Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple and Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple organized ‘Mangalya Bhagya’, a mass marriage ceremony under State government-sponsored ‘Saptapadi Vivaha Yojane’ scheme on Wednesday.
The marriages were conducted during the auspicious Abhijin Lagna Muhurta, from 11:20 am to 12:20 pm. A total of 6 couples entered wedlock at Kukke temple, and 5 couples at Kollur temple. The rituals were conducted by Madhusudan Kalluraya, the temple priest at Subrahmanya, and Gajanana Jois, the temple priest at Kollur.
The mass marriage ceremony was attended by the Management Committee members of both temples.
As part of the scheme, the bride was gifted Rs. 10,000, and Rs. 5,000 to the grooms, along with traditional attire, including mangalsutra for the brides and saree panche for the grooms.
