Master plan for comprehensive development of Udupi: DC

Udupi: While creating the master plan for Udupi city incorporating the 19 surrounding villages, discussions must be held with experts from various fields in the society, directed Deputy Commissioner Hepsiba Rani Korlapati, presiding over a meeting held at the DC’s office in this connection.
A farsighted master plan must be created for the comprehensive development of the city. This master plan must be the stepping stone to a people friendly development of all areas including basic infrastructure, transport and traffic system, said the DC.
In the first phase of the master plan, information and stats regarding density and numbers will be collected based on which the plan will be drawn systematically, she informed.
The DC asked to contact engineers, architects, doctors and experts from other areas and collect information for the systematic development of the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Udupi City Development Authority Commmissioner Mohmmed Nazeer said, drinking water, cleanliness, road, shelter and electricity facilities must be given importance in the master plan, he pointed.
