Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation has appointed an agency that segregates waste plastic from the Pachanady landfill for recycling.
Nature Friendly Recycle Industries and Dry Waste Handling has been segregating more than 25 tonnes of plastic waste every day and recycles them in factories and also exports some.
The agency at its unit shreds the collected waste plastic and then compresses it using a hydraulic machine. The plastic lumps are then sent across India and abroad for recycling.
