Medical education minister D K Shivakumar faces another income tax fraud case

Bengaluru: Another case in connection with income tax misrepresentation has been filed against medical education minister, D K Shivakumar. The minister has been accused for giving false information and giving fake records to avoid payment of income tax. The case stands recorded in the uncommon court for financial offenses here.
The case likewise has named Sachin Narayan, Sunil Kumar Sharma, both of whom are thought to be close friends of the minister and personal assistance of the minister at New Delhi, Anjaneya Hanumathayya and N Rajendran.
The special court served summons to five of the accused, and presented the hearing on August 2. All the five charged including Shivakumar should present themselves in the said court and acquire bail.
Shivakumar faces new charges of intentionally attempting to avoid payment of income tax, penalty and interest under area 276 C – 1 of IT Act, putting forth false expressions and giving false records under section 277, deliberate formation of fake evidence and giving manufactured documents during legal procedures according to section 193 of Indian Penal Code and putting forth false statements attesting that announcement recorded before were valid under section 199. The others have been accused of recording of false returns and conspiring to avoid income tax.
