Meet Capt Dhruv Gupta, Udupi’s proud Covid-19 warrior who was a part of the Vande Bharat Mission

Udupi: Amid Covid-19, we have seen various good hearted individuals stepping up and helping the country fight the pandemic. We have shared several stories of our proud Covid-19 warriors from across the country. Now we have a Covid warrior from Udupi district.
Captain Dhruv Gupta from Karkala, Udupi District who is currently residing in Mumbai was part of the Vande Bharat Mission and helped in rescuing several stranded Indians abroad.
Dhruv works for AirIndia and flies the B777 AirCraft. He rescued Indians from San fransisco USA on the 07/07/2020 flight from Delhi.
Dhruv Gupta said“ I was worried about my family at first as I have a 7 month old baby. But then I spoke to my wife and we decided that I will go forward with this. I always wanted to do something for my country so this was my chance”
Dhruv and his wife were blessed with a baby girl in December last year. Despite having a small child at home he thought that it was his duty to serve the Nation and help bring back stranded Indians home.
