Mega meet on Nov 25 demanding Ram Mandir construction

Mangaluru: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will be organising a public meeting at Central Maidan on November 25 in order to pressurize the union government to construct the temple for Sri Ram by passing a suitable law.
Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday VHP State President M B Puranik said that though the Ayodhya dispute is in Supreme Court for several years now, no concrete decision has been taken till date. A mega-public convention led by religious leaders and ascetics is being organised to mount pressure on the Centre for the purpose. Nearly 25,000 people are expected to participate in the meeting.
He further added that there are plans to organise such public meeting at Kasargod, Kodagu and Udupi districts on November 18, 30 and December 2 respectively
VHP Mangaluru Unit Secretary Sharan Pumpwell, District Secretary Shivanand Mendon, District Working President Gopal Kuttar and Bajrang Dal District Convener Praveen Kuttar, Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Bhaskar K, Deputy Mayor Mohammed K, former registrar of Mangalore University Dr K Janardhan, Prof Vasudeva Belle, SCDCC Bank Director Belapu Deviprasad Shetty among others were present.
