Men who drove off with Rs. 90 lakhs arrested

Bengaluru: Two employees of CMS who drove away with 90 lakhs cash in Bengaluru on Jnauary 29 were arrested in Bellary on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Narayanaswamy (45) from Hebbur village in Tumakuru district and his assistant Narasimharaju (28), of Uttarahalli. Both worked for CMS Cash Management Solutions that was contracted by banks to refill their ATMs. The two with the help of Riaz (30), Jagadish and another unidentified man drove off with the cash which was meant for ATMs in Bengaluru.

According to the police, after escaping with the money, the accused abandoned the vehicle (Tata Sumo) in Madanayakanahalli, Ramanagaram district. They then took a bus to Kittanahalli forest Ballari.

The police said that Narayanaswamy had decided to steal the money to repay Rs 15 lakh loan that he had borrowed from moneylenders. Rs 80 lakh cash has been recovered from the suspects and the police are in search for the fifth suspect in Bellary.
