MESCOM lineman electrocuted

Sullia: A Mangaluru Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) lineman died after accidentally coming in contact with a live wire while attending a complaint here on Wednesday August 15th.
The deceased has been identified as Janardhana Naik (48), son of Ramanna Naik, resident of Aletti village.
The deceased was employed on contract basis along with his brother Harish Naik. On Wednesday they were attending a complaint in Boliyamajalu near Jattipalla. Janardhana was on top of the electric pole when a MESCOM fulltime lineman switched on the power supply all of a sudden thereby electrocuting and killing Janardhana.
Sullia MESCOM AEE Harish Naik and local police visited the spot and the body was retrieved. The post-mortem was done at Sullia government hospital and a case has been registered at Sullia police station.
Janardhana is survived by wife and a daughter and he was the breadwinner for the family now left in lurch.
