MIA bomb case: Suspect surrenders before cops

Bengaluru/Mangaluru: A suspect in Mangaluru airport bomb case surrendered before Halasuru gate police, informed sources.
The suspect is identified as Aditya Rao, is said to be a resident of Udupi.
Reportedly Aditya Rao confessed before the police that he placed the bomb at the airport.
An engineering graduate and an MBA, Rao had been arrested for making hoax calls to Kempegowda Airport and KSR railway station in 2018.
He has four cases against him in Bengaluru, including hoax calls, theft, and theft by a dwelling. Police arrested him on the basis of footage found in CCTV cameras at the airport.
Meanwhile, Mangaluru Police Commissioner PS Harsha in a tweet informed that the city police investigation team will be flying into Bengaluru shortly to investigate the developments in connection with the case. The team will question the suspect and will initiate further necessary legal action.
