MIA bomb scare case: Court pronounces verdict

Mangaluru: The city court on Wednesday, March 16 pronounced its verdict with regard to Mangaluru airport bomb scare case.
The accused Adithya Rao, a native of Manipal was punished under section 4 of the explosives substances act 1908, and section 16 of the Unlawful activities prevention act 1967.
The court announced 5 years rigorous imprisonment and Rs 10000 fine under section 4 and 20 years rigorous imprisonment and Rs 10000 fine under section 16.
Both punishments will run concurrently. If failed to pay the fine he will be put under 6 months of simple imprisonment, informed Mangaluru Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar.
