Bajpe: Four rounds of live ammunition were found in the baggage of a passenger by the CISF personnel manning the screening process at the domestic section of Mangaluru international Airport on Wednesday July 31.
The passenger identified as Sanjeev D Shetty, was scheduled to fly to Mumbai by Indigo airline flight 6E 295 when CISF assistant sub inspector Sonam Gupta found the ammo in the hand baggage of Mr Shetty.
Under interrogation it was revealed that Mr Shetty did not have the valid license for possessing the live ammunition with him. Hence, in accordance with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines, the passenger along with the seized live ammunition was handed over to the local police for further legal action.
