Migrant workers gather at city bus stand following rumours about travel arrangements

Mangaluru: Hundreds of migrant workers hailing from Uttar Pradesh (UP) Jharkhand who have been stranded in the city amid the nationwide lockdown, on Monday, May 11 gather at the city service bus stand after receiving information that travels arrangements have been made for them to go back to their home town.
As per the sources, so far there is no official confirmation of any train carrying the migrant workers from here to Uttar Pradesh (UP) or Jharkhand today.
Meanwhile, the crowded bus stand poses a challenge to the coronavirus situation as social distancing has been given a go by, said sources.
