Mijar youth murder case: Accused arrested

Moodbidri: The accused in murder case of Naveen, who was bludgeoned to death with a wooden stick on the night of late night of Friday May 17th has been arrested by the police. The accused is identified as Pongu Ramesh (35). The other accused is absconding.
The accused had reportedly murdered Naveen (29) with assistance from Nityananda (40) at the Daddi Cross of Doomachadavu in Mijar over an argument about not receiving their phone calls. The repeated blows to Naveen head given through a wooden club claimed the victim’s life on the spot. The brutality of the attack was to such an extent that the brain of the victim had popped out of his skull.
The victim was employed in hotel management sector in Dubai and had come back to his hometown three months ago. It is assumed that the monetary dispute was the motive behind the murder.
