Mild tremors felt again in Dakshina Kannada

Sullia: Mild tremors were felt  for the fourth day in a week at a few places in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada district on Saturday afternoon.

It is said that the tremors were felt in Dodda Kumeri of Aranthodu village in the taluk.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 1.8 on the Richter scale was recorded in the region at around 1.21 pm.

Also, on June 25, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.3 on the Richter scale was recorded in the region, followed by a quake on June 28 which was felt twice on the day.

On Friday, an earthquake measured 2.5 on the Richter scale was recorded in the region along with three places in neighboring Kodagu district.
