Min Suresh Kumar fulfils PE teachers long-standing demand for promotion

Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Friday announced promotions of physical education teachers in government schools.

The minister stated that the Karnataka State Government High School Physical Education Teachers Association had a long-standing demand to promote Grade 1 PE teachers to the 148 posts of Group B Physical Education Supervisors.

“Physical education teachers promotion occurred in 2016 and no promotion was done in the past five years. This administrative problem has been solved now,” Kumar said.

The minister added that counselling for the post of Physical Education Supervisor will be held on June 21. Physical Education teachers can participate in the counselling process following to all COVID-19 protocols and choose their places.
