Minister Dinesh Gundurao holds talks on Bengaluru-Mangaluru high-speed corridor project

In a significant development, the head of the European Business and Technology Organization engaged in discussions with Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao on Thursday, joined by Udupi district in-charge minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar. The focal point of the discussion was the proposed construction of the Bengaluru-Mangaluru Integrated Green Field High-Speed Corridor.
The Mangaluru-Bengaluru Green Zone High-Speed Corridor is anticipated to play a crucial role in the overall development of Mangaluru and other cities along its route. The organization presented its plans for the construction of a 6 to 8-lane high-speed corridor, seeking input and support from the ministers.
Expressing his views on the matter, Minister Dinesh Gundurao emphasized the potential economic benefits of the high-speed corridor for Mangaluru. He highlighted the importance of connecting the corridor with the Mangaluru port, foreseeing positive implications for business growth.
Acknowledging the need for further discussions on the corridor’s route map, Minister Gundurao assured that he would engage with the Minister of Public Works and the Chief Minister to address these concerns. He underscored the state government’s commitment to encouraging projects that contribute to the sustainable development of Mangaluru.
