Minister KJ George Faces Severe Public Criticism as Most Places Waterlogged in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Bengaluru Urban Development and Town Planning Minister KJ George faced severe criticism after thousands of houses, streets, layouts waterlogged in Bengaluru city following heavy rainfall during the past one week. The residents including women blamed the minister when he arrived to visit waterlogged areas of his constituency, Sarvagnanagar in the state capital.
The public criticised the minister as he failed to take any measure to prevent the problem of water logging during every rainy season in his own constituency. Metro city has been witnessing heavy rainfall activities for more than 10 days and the officials from BBMP, state government failed to solve the issues of the people. The plight of the city residents has been continuing in the state capital following absence of suitable drainage system and other essential arrangements which required for a metro city during rainy season to prevent the residents from flood like situation.
