Hubballi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has firmly denied involvement in the ticket fraud case linked to promises of securing a BJP-JD(S) alliance ticket. He clarified that he has had no contact with his brother, Gopal Joshi, for the past 32 years and that he does not have a sister, as claimed in the allegations.

In a press release, Joshi addressed the case registered in Bengaluru, stating that he has no connection to the fraud accusations. “The case mentions a sister named Vijayalakshmi, but we have no sister. We are four brothers, including Gopal Joshi. Furthermore, the City Civil Court of Bengaluru issued an injunction in 2013, prohibiting any misuse of my name in connection with such matters,” he explained.

Referring to the ticket fraud case involving Gopal Joshi, Pralhad Joshi expressed confidence that the investigation would reveal the truth. “If my brother has committed any wrongdoing, appropriate action should be taken against him,” he said.

Joshi also responded to recent statements by Congress leaders demanding his arrest. He dismissed these remarks as a display of “intellectual bankruptcy and desperation.”

This statement comes amidst a police case filed by Sunita Chavan, wife of former MLA Devanand Chavan from Vijayapura. The case accuses Gopal Joshi, Vijayalakshmi Joshi, and Gopal’s son Ajay Joshi of defrauding Rs 2 crore by promising a Lok Sabha ticket to Chavan.
