Minister Rahim Khan visits Mangala stadium

Mangaluru: A review meeting will be conducted shortly in the deputy commissioner’s office with the aim to solve the problems regarding the Kabaddi indoor stadium and other issues, assured the state minister for sports and youth Affairs Rahim Khan after visiting the Mangala Stadium in the city on Tuesday Feb 5th.

Owing to the importance gained by ‘Kabaddi; game and the demand to construct an indoor Kabaddi stadium in the city, the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has planned to construct an indoor Kabaddi stadium at the Karavali Exhibition Ground which only invited stiff opposition from the Mangaluru Citizen Group and Karavali Cricket Friends  associations.

Therefore, Mr Khan visited the Karavali Exhibition Ground along with officials and collected information from the officials and later spoke at the meeting.

Post visiting the Mangala Stadium Mr Khan informed that a pavilion and other necessary infrastructure will be constructed at Mangala stadium at the cost of Rs 3 crore.
