Bantwal: A case under the POCSO act has been registered against five men at Vittal police station after a minor girl got pregnant because of continuous sexual assault.
As per the sources, a gang of five men, including a gram panchayat personnel, used to sexually assault a 17-year-old since some time. As a result, the girl is six months pregnant now. After sexually assaulting the girl, the five men had threatened the girl not to divulge the matter to anyone.
However, the incident came to light only after an Asha worker paid a visit to the home of the victim girl.
