Miscreants set fire to an auto rickshaw

Madikeri: Miscreants set fire to an auto rickshaw by dousing it in petrol. The auto rickshaw belonged to Unais and this incident took place Ponnatamotte near Chettalli. The miscreants escaped after setting the fire.

The miscreants committed this act of dousing the auto rickshaw in petrol at around 2:30am in the morning. The sound of the burning auto rickshaw woke up the localites who came out of their houses to investigate. Seeing the localities, the culprits made their escape. The villagers say that two persons with covered faces had committed this act.

Chettalli police have visited the location and carried investigation. A case has been registered at Madikeri rural police station.
