Miscreants steal parked car in Udupi

Udupi: Miscreants stole a Maruti Swift car parked inside the residence compound in Ambalapadi here.

The car owner Sharada, a resident of Kalikamba Nagar had gone to Bengaluru with her husband when the theft took place.

On December 10, she got a call from her tenant that someone had broken the lock of the main gate and the car was stolen. Sharada returned on December 11 and found that the thieves had broken into the house and taken away the car keys, and the car documents viz. RC, insurance papers, and fled with the car.

It is suspected that the incident took place on the intervening night of December 9 and 10. The estimated value of the stolen car is Rs 7 lakh.

A case has been registered in the city police station.
