Miscreants throw chilli powder at jeweller, decamp with Rs 30L gold ornaments

Raichur: A jeweller was robbed of gold ornaments valued at around Rs 30 lakhs in Mudgal town here.
The victim, Shravan Jain owns the MK Jewellery showroom on Lingasugur Road. He was in the practice of taking all the gold jewellery to his residence each night after closing the shop.
Miscreants who had knowledge of this threw chilli powder into Shravan’s eyes when he was headed home on Wednesday night and escaped with the jewellery.
A case in this regard has been registered with Mudgal police.
