New Delhi: Sri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji of the Pejavara matha suffered a minor injury while performing the Tulabhara ritual held at the Prasannabhivandanam program held by the devotees and admirers in Delhi.
According to sources, the rope of the weighing scale broke off during the ritual and the iron bar hit Swamiji’s head. A few of the devotees and other seers present there rushed to his aid. However, the Swamiji signalled to them that he was okay.
A few devotees said that the seer had suffered some scratches on his head and was out of harm’s way. Swamiji is doing well, sources said.
Prasannabhivandanam, a religious program, has been held since Monday in New Delhi in honour of Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji, who is a trustee of the Ayodhya Sri Ram Mandir Trust. Many programs including Bhagavad Gita Jivanmargadarshini, Abhishekam, special pujas, and religious meditations were conducted as part of the celebrations.
