Belagavi: A week after he went missing Congress MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi arrived at his residence in Gokak on Tuesday night and departed to an undisclosed location in the wee hours of Wednesday.

As per sources Jarkiholi left for Bengaluru where he is expected to hold meetings with top KPCC leaders, including Dr G Parameshwara, on Thursday. His brother, Satish Jarkiholi too is likely to join him for the discussions, they said adding that his next course of action is yet to be known.

Speculations of Jarkiholi being in Mumbai and New Delhi to meet BJP leaders were doing the rounds after he went incommunicado having been dropped from the Congress-JD(S) government Cabinet. It was being said that Jarkiholi had promised to bring along 12-14 MLAs to the BJP but had failed to convince the party’s disgruntled legislators to join his camp.
