Missing trawler case: Did the mobile ring after 46 days?

Malpe: It is learnt that of the missing fishermen crew on the missing deep sea trawler Suvarna Tribhuja, the mobile of Laxmana Harikantra of Kumta and Ravi of Manki Honnavar have rung on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
The information was provided by the family of Laxman to the family of Badanidiyur Chandrashekhar over a call. Since the day they the boat went missing with its crew, the family of Laxman had been trying his mobile number daily. On Wednesday night, when Laxman’s daughter tried to call the number, the mobile rang at 7:24 pm and 7:47 pm and then it immediately gave the message that it was switched off. They have informed that the call was connected with Ravi’s mobile too on Thursday after which it was switched off.
The family of the missing fishermen informed the superintendent of police about the incident. The police which collected information has clarified that no calls coming to this number have been found.
