Belagavi: Kittur constituency Congress ticket candidate, sitting MLA DB Inamdar has educated that he has taken the decision to resign from the Congress following the postponement in declaration of ticket by the Congress high command for Kittur constituency.
He said that he has sent the resignation letter from primary enrollment of the Congress to KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar. “I have been offended by the party. I am yet to talk about the issue with my supporters and settle on a decision soon,” he said.
The Congress High command has declared a list of 218 candidates but in the declaration of a candidate in Kittur has been kept on hold. Babasaheb Patil, son-in-Law of DB Inamdar who had played a key part in the past elections to convey triumph to DB, is currently campaigning for a ticket from the Congress. In this manner, the party high command is confused over issuing a ticket as the two are equally powerful.
Inamdar also said “I have been chosen as MLA five times and filled in as minister twice. I put endeavors to sort out party for the past 30 years. I never requested positions. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah himself had reported my candidature and held ‘Sadhana Samavesh’ at Kittur recently. But, I have been ignored now,”
