MLA plays good samaritan, helps injured man

Karkala: MLA V Sunil Kumar turned Good Samaritan on Saturday, November 25, when he took a seriously injured man in his car to a hospital in Manipal
According to the information received, when Sunil Kumar was continuing to Udupi to attend Dharma Sansad, he found a man lying out on the road severely injured at Hiriadka. He instantly requested his driver to stop the car. Sunil Kumar, with the assistance of his driver and security gunman, brought him inside the car and took him to a hospital in Manipal.
The injured person was identified as Dharma from Tamil Nadu. He had met with an accident at 4 pm in Hiriadka. Post-accident no one came forward to help the injured man. It was said that when Sunil Kumar helped the injured man, it was already half an hour since the accident. Dharma had sustained severe injuries to his leg and was in bad condition. Not able to find help from people only made him suffer with excruciating pain.
Sunil Kumar had to buy cloth from a local store in Hiriadka to tie and cover up the injured leg.On arrival, the MLA requested the hospital authorities to pay extra heed to the injured man as he was brought in late. Only after the injured was attended, the MLA decided to leave the hospital to attend Dharma Sansad.
