MLA Rudresh Gowda passes away due to multiple organ failure

Hassan: Y N Rudresh Gowda (63), Congress MLA from Belur constituency passed away of multiple organ failure at Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday. 

Rudresh Gowda was hospitalized a couple of days back after he suffered from health complications. As a result of his ailment, he didn’t cast his vote in Rajya Sabha polls on Friday. 

A two-time MLA from Belur constituency in Hassan region, Rudresh Gowda was chosen to Lok Sabha from Hassan on the Janata Dal ticket in 1996. Rudresh Gowda, a LLB graduate, joined politics by getting chosen as ZP member from Nagenahalli electorate in 1986. He was later chosen as the leader of Hassan ZP. 

The mortal remains of Rudresh Gowda have been kept for the public at Hassan DCC office. 

Rudresh Gowda is survived by his wife, daughter and 10 siblings.
