MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, Mayor Premananda Shetty visit HOPCOMS; orders publication of rate chart daily

Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyasa Kamath and Mayor Premananda Shetty visited Horticultural Producers Marketing and Processing Cooperative Ltd (HOPCOMS) at Karangalpady and conducted an inspection
It is said that the officials have been receiving several complaints regarding the HOPCOMS rate list. Officials directed the HOPCOMS managing director to publish rate charts daily also issue proper bills to the customers
City corporator Kadri Manohar Shetty was also present.
On the distribution of Covid-19 kits, Vedavyas Kamath said, ” Covid-19 kits containing paracetamol, anti-biotic, vitamin C and zinc tablets will be delivered to the Covid-19 persons by the ASHA workers and health workers”
Also, talking about the issuing of boiled rice in fair price shops, he said, ” I have requested the Ministers to issue boiled rice to ration card holders through fair price shops in Dakshina Kannada. The government has promised to look into the issue,” he added
