M’luru: 2 thieves including auto driver arrested within 1 day of robbery

Ullal: Police have arrested two people, including a rickshaw driver, in connection with the robbery of two men using the rickshaw in Mangaluru and Ullal.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Tausif and Saifuddin, residents of Kodi and Mastikette respectively.
The duo had robbed Alabi Road resident Prabhudeva of his mobile phone on the night of December 25 when he had come out of his house speaking on the phone.
Later that night, they robbed Jaffar who had hired the rickshaw. They got Jaffar out of the rickshaw near Bhagavati Temple Road and hit him with a rod before stealing his money, mobile phone and jewellery.
Cases were registered against these robberies at the Ullal and Bandar police station.
Ullal police managed to arrest the two culprits within a day.
