M’luru airport: Gold worth Rs 49 lakh seized from 3 passengers

Bajpe: Customs officials arrested three passengers trying to smuggle gold in their rectum at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Saturday, March 9th. The passengers had arrived from Dubai.
The seized gold was in the form of powder and past weighing 1532.110 grams. The gold is valued at Rs 49 lakh.
The passengers arrived from Dubai by Air India Exp IX814 when they were apprehended within the premises of MIA.
