M’luru: Biker, pillion rider injured in car-bike collision

Two persons sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a car and bike near Thokottu Kapikad on National Highway 66 here on Wednesday evening.

The injured are identified as Asif, a resident of Manjanadi and Mohammed Ashraf, an Amblamogaru resident.

The duo was headed towards Kapikad from Ullal after finishing their work when the mishap took place.

Reportedly Asif was riding in the opposite direction of the oncoming traffic and collided with a car coming from Kumpala side. Owing to the impact of the collision both Asif and Ashraf fell from their bikes and sustained injuries.

Locals rushed to their rescue and got them admitted to the hospital.

A case has been registered in this regard.
