Mangaluru: A video has been going viral and most people believe it to be the video of the Mangaluru blast accused Shariq and his accomplice minutes before the blast.

However, Mangaluru city police Commissioner Shashi Kumar has now issued a clarification that the video is fake.

“The video showing two men near a wine shop is not related to the blast that took place in the city on November 19,” said Shashi Kumar

ADGP Alok Kumar also had said that Shariq had come to the city alone from Mysuru.

Meanwhile, DCP (Law and Order) Anshu Kumar visited Shariq at the hospital to enquire about his health condition.

Security has been beefed up in and around the hospital.
